Causes of North Creek Water Damage

Frozen & Leaking Pipes

Pipes are often a common source of leaks and water damage in North Creek, whether it’s due to being improperly fitted, frozen, or damaged. Check for pooled water beneath your bathroom or kitchen sink, as this can be a clear indication of a pipe leak. Additionally, an unexplained increase in your water bill could signal a potential pipe leak.

Broken Water Heater

In your water heater, there is a substantial metal tank responsible for holding its water supply. If this tank becomes damaged or if the water heater malfunctions, the water may escape, potentially leading to extensive water damage to the water heater’s surroundings.

Drain Backups

A drain backup can impede water flow, which can result in a buildup of water in tubs, sinks, and toilets. As this water accumulates,  it’s likely that it will overflow, leading to water damage on furniture, floors, and walls.

Leaky Roof

There are several causes that could be responsible for a leaking roof, including:

  • Broken or missing shingles
  • Roof vents
  • Clogged gutters
  • Age
  • Condensation in the attic

If you notice any indications of a leaking roof, it is crucial to reach out to a professional as soon as possible. Delaying can result in more severe water damage, ruined belongings in your attic, and stains on your ceiling and walls.

Sump Pump

When a sump pump experiences a backup and malfunctions, it fails to remove water from the sump pit during flooding or heavy rainfall. This can result in water pooling in the lower levels of your home, potentially leading to flooding and causing damage to your belongings, walls, and flooring.

We discovered a leak in our bathroom and after calling insurance who said all of their contacts were 2-3 out, we called Puredry who arrived next day. The initial drying and scheduling process was a little longer than I anticipated, but they were very communicative the entire process. All in all it took about 90 days from start to finish, part of which was because of waiting on insurance. Rhiannon was also able to get insurance to pay for additional fixes which I was extremely grateful for. All in all, I highly recommend them to others.

Highly recommend! I had Zach’s team come out and help me with a water leakage issue. They did a great job assessing and drying out my house after my washing machine on the top floor leaked all the way to the bottom floors. Helped prevent further damages from the water. Couldn’t catch everyone’s name but Garrett, Nick, Bryceton, and Kyle were great and answered any questions I had during the process.

Due to a busted hose I had extensive water damage to my kitchen and down into the crawl. Everyday for 2 weeks multiple techs came to check the moisture levels and arrange various machinery to dry out my home and filter the air (my child has lots of allergies). These guys are PHENOMENAL. Every single one was friendly and helpful while explaining everything thoroughly and keeping me in good spirits. Who would have thought I could laugh so much during such a horribly stressful situation? There were so many people in and out of my house, but I especially want to thank Tameka for her stellar communication and talking me off the ledge, David for evaluating the level of remediation my house needed and explaining all the legal/insurance mumbo-jumbo, and the guys who tirelessly checked the status of the damage daily for 2 weeks (yes, even on weekends): Gabe, Pedr, Kaleb, Nich, and Jonah. I’m so sorry if I forgot someone. It’s been a relatively painless process and they all made sure my kitchen was still useable and that the machines weren’t an obstacle to my daily life. Oh, and the helpful troubleshooting when my electrical system got overloaded and kept tripping the breaker! They guys got it all fixed up for me. Then it was a seamless transition when the reconstruction team took over. Rhiannon and Dina talked me through all the options and communicated with me daily about the progress. I think my kitchen may look better now than when it started!
